The
Jamdani is derived from the Persian Origin as a word. But the weavers of Dhaka in
Bangladesh bear out its meaning Vase of flowers with their skilled weaving. Jamdani sarees have been weaving in
Bangladesh since 4th centuries. During this time period, the finest
fabric was produced which became famous worldwide. After that it became famous
not only in Bangladesh but also across the globe. The traditional weaving art of Jamdhani saree
is so famous across the globe that it has been declared by UNESCO as an
Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The jamdhani has always had a place

demand for the product remains unusually high, with women

for them. Jamdani, a surviving variety of muslin, is characterized by geometric
or floral designs. The hard part of weaving a Jamdhani is the motifs are
